After a tummy tuck, your abdominal incision and bellybutton will likely be covered with a surgical dressing. You may also have small tubes placed along the incision to drain any excess blood or fluid. These will later be removed.
Dr.Kashaf will prescribe medication to manage pain. There will also be swelling in the abdominal area.
You’ll wear a supportive abdominal garment for about six weeks after your tummy tuck. This prevents fluid buildup and provides abdominal support while you begin your healing process.
For the first six weeks after a tummy tuck, you’ll be required to move carefully. You may need to walk slightly bent at the waist as to not place any stress on the incision.
