How long is recovery?
Recovery from a Mommy Makeover procedure will start at 6 weeks to return to regular routines. The first two weeks following the procedure will require rest, assistance, and wearing compression garments. Due to the combination of multiple procedures, a full recovery (internal healing and fading of scars) will take 6-12 months.
How painful is a Mommy Makeover?
During the first few days following your procedure you will experience moderate to severe discomfort. Patients report experiencing soreness, swelling, and tightness rather than extreme pain. Dr. Kashaf will provide a pain management plan that will include prescribed medication, compression garments, and other recommendations to make your recovery more comfortable.
How soon after pregnancy can I get a Mommy Makeover?
It is recommended to wait 6 months to 1 year after childbirth before undergoing a mommy makeover. You will have to stop breastfeeding for at least 3-6 months before undergoing breast surgery if that will be included in your procedure plan.
Should I wait until I'm done having children?
