Dr. Kashaf Sherafgan was born and raised in an army family from Pakistan. At a young age she had the opportunity to see the world and explore various cultures, living in countries such as Germany, England, and Saudi Arabia.
She graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan and soon after moved to New York City where she did scientific and clinical research at Mount Sinai Hospital, ranked among the top 20 hospitals of the world. There, she also completed her internship in General Surgery amongst the finest surgeons the metropolitan area had to offer.

“My mother always told me from the day I could speak I would say, “when I grow up, I’m going to be a doctor.”

With this strong initial training she headed to New Orleans’ Tulane University General Surgery residency program, which is one of the country’s oldest programs dating back to 1834! She gained extensive training among the nations’ top trauma surgeons while also enjoying the rich Cajun culture, jazz music, and crawfish boils the city had to offer.

Those words became a reality when I was accepted into medical school. I soon realized my passion lay in surgery when I started taking intricate courses on anatomy and learning more about the beautiful complexity of the human body.

As a young medical student I began assisting corrective surgeries for cleft lip and palate patients helping them feel more confident in their own skin.
The instant gratification of seeing the massive smiles of our patients made me strive to advance my knowledge, surgical skill set, and understanding of cosmetic surgery every single day!
